National Supermodels Company, Diamon M. Robinson
National Supermodels Company & Diamon M. Robinson SCAM! This company is dishonest and they DO NOT PAY!

Miscellaneous

I am an aspiring model and actress and saw a great opportunity to get paid for what I enjoy doing. I love to model the clothing of awesome designers on the runway and get paid for it. I'm not looking to be famous. I just like the profession.

Well, I was hired to be in one of the National Supermodels Co. Fashion shows which was held on November 15. I found it a little strange that the rehearsals were not paid, but I decided to test it out anyway. The location was a very shady part of town, but all the people seemed very nice. The training/rehearsal was a little unconventional, but I figured, every show is different. They also told me that I had to sell at least 10 tickets to the show to get paid more than the base pay of $20, but I was guaranteed pay of $20 for the show. That was a little strange, but I didn't mind helping out a growing company, so I continued.

Their communication was horrible, and I never knew what was going on. They barely ever responded to emails and never returned phone calls. They never mentioned what we would be wearing or who the designers would be. They told me I had to be at a photo shoot two days in advance, but I had to work! They also did not tell me everything I needed to bring to the show and got mad at me for it. I was expected to bring some of my own clothing for the show! And, while I was wearing one of the dresses they provided for me to model, another model pointed out to me that she had worn that same dress in their last show! I was totally appalled!

So, then I asked them if their shows were more about the models or the clothing, because I was very confused. They said their shows are all about showing off the models! What kind of fashion show is that?! It was a theatrical performance, and I was so embarrassed that I had invited people to come see it. They had singers, a mime, and some other performances in-between scenes, which was pretty strange for a fashion show. I have heard of stuff like this before, but this was over the top.

I modeled in the show and was never payed a dime for it! Mr. Robinson promised that I would be paid for being a model in the show, and I signed a contract stating that I would get paid. However, I have still not seen a paycheck that they promised to mail to me. There are also many other models involved that were never paid.

My goal here is to warn all aspiring models to not waste your time with this company. They have lots of big promises and high hopes, but they do not follow through. And, the most horrible part about all of this is they say they are Christians and use God to make themselves look trustworthy! The certified model training they offer (not for free) is BAD training by people who have no business training models in the first place.

I have been professionally trained in the past, and NSC told me to do things that my professional teachers would have laughed at! If you are serious about being a model, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME with this company! They will give you a lot of false hopes and promises, not pay you, and teach you some horrible techniques that would get you fired in the real world.

Do not be a victim of this scam or others like it out there, and there are a lot of them nowadays. If something seems fishy, it probably is. Be careful! If you are desperate for fame, people like this will find you and burn you. Don't let it be you!
