The letter looked legit, our accountant, the bank rep, and friends all have heard of people being hired as secret shoppers, and the check was a cashier check that cleared through our bank. I called the compnay a few times and the phone was answered in a business like sense, for example, the promt would answer saying welcome to general services, if you know your parties extenstion please dial it now, otherwise please wait for the operater. I would dail the extenstion and talk to Mr. Nil. One smart thing I did do, was open a new account for this and did not deposit the money into our family account to protect ourselves in case it is a scam, and guess what I guess it is. Right now the bank is trying to figure out why there is a large charge to my account and aer going to help me fix the issue because they said it is something their internal office did to my account, but I know it has to do with this scam. I tried to call Mr. Nil back this morning and all I got was this mailbox is no longer in service, but the fax number is still working and I did send a fax sayingto call me back. I will see what company calls me back if any. Even doing all the checks you can to see if home business is legit, you still can get scamed.
