I joined SMC hoping to start a home business. It sounded good and I was looking forward to getting started. I scheduled a appointment with a business coach and told him I would like to do catalog sales.
And I would like to set up a website so I could work from home. My Business coach talked me in to a gift card website. The first thing I asked is if anyone can go on the site to order from me. And my business coach told me yes. But what he didn't tell me that they need a Gift Card to shop on my site. I live from pay check to pay check. And the site cost me $600.00 and $40.00 a month. I had to pay the $600.00 in two payments and when I paid up I could start selling on my website. After I paid the money and did everything to get it rolling I went to my website and looked at it. The first thing I noticed is that you needed a gift card to even shop on it.

The next thing I did was called my coach at SMC and told him that this is not what I wanted. I wanted a website that anyone can shop on. My so called business coach told me that is what I ordered but they needed a gift card to shop on it. I told him I didn't want it and I wanted my money back. He told me that if I wanted a website that anyone could shop on with out a gift card it would cost me over $1000.00. I didn't have that kind of money. (like I said living from pay check to pay check) And so like a fool I let him talk me in to trying the gift card website. Please note that I tried everything my business coach told me to do! I paid for more gift cards and handed them out left and right. Donated them to charity events. Out of all the $10.00 gift cards I paid SMC $3.00 a piece for I received 1 order on my gift card website for $24.00. What a joke! I called and complained to my Coach and got the run around that I wasn't working hard enough. He told me to keep going it will work out. To this date It hasn't worked out at all.

I called SMC to cancel my website and to get a refund like my business coach told me I would get. And I am getting the run around with that. And I received an email from SMC that I will not get a refund on my gift card website like I was promised and I owed them over $90.00 on my website. What a rip-off. I was totally suck in with empty promises and lied to by my SMC business coach. I hope they have a specialty merchandising place in hell for him.
