I booked hotel with hotels.com, paid for it with my credit card. The credit card cleared. About 15 minutes later hotels.com themselves cancelled my reservation. Whoever did this is a moron. Anyone knows that when you reserve a hotel you cannot cancel with 24 hours without having to pay for the hotel room. This is pure and simple vendictive harrassment directed at a particular individual for no reason at all. I checked into the hotel and the second day they told me I had to come in and pay. Called my credit card company and they said the charges were placed on my card. I then called hotels.com to be told I would receive a refund within 30 days. Not. Since you are not allowed to cancel a hotel reservation after you place it I would not have received a refund, or the hotel would have charged me anyway. This employee out and out lied to me and tried to mess me up. I am not able to obtain regular lodging at this point and hotels.com contributed to my situation. I would also put this under a Civil Violation. They shouldn't have run my credit card. I called them and they told me it was canceled wouldn't give me a reason. I
