I received my December Comcast bill and noticed that there was a $2.95 charge for "Service Protection Plan".

I called Comcast to inquire about the new charge. During a one hour hold period, I talked to more than five representatives who did not have a clue as to who I should talk to... Thus one hour on hold.

Finally, Patrick transferred me to Lesli after I told him that I was going come down there and strangle him... Lesli told me that the "Protection Service Plan" was always free, but now they charge for it. I told her that I did not ask for it, nor do I want it, so take it off. She said that she would take it off my bill.

Don't let Comcast rip you off with hidden charges... Look at your bill carefully, and call them immediately. Stay on the line... Don't let them force you to hang up with a long wait.

I am now seriously considering closing my Comcast account which I have had for several years, to AT&T Internet and Television service.
