Mystery Shopper Check Scam... Postage from Canada

I recieved a check in the mail today from Mystery Shoppers Inc New York, New York. It all looked ligiate and real with a letter explaining what the check was for, how the money was to be broke down, with a representative ID # and all. Well, I knew I didnt apply for no Mystery Shoppers job so I thought I would check into it all before I faxed any papers in with any of my information. Thanks to many others like yourself that posted about this huge scam. I also called the phone number that was given and a guy answered the phone like he was answering his own telephone at home. No company name or anything. I didnt give any information to him. I am going to see what else I can do to persue such a thing. This is unfair that anyone is able to do such a crime as he is doing. I pray there isnt anyone out there that jumps on this boat as I almost did. This should be outlawed and I will see what there is that can further be done.
