Miscellaneous

On September 22 an electronic withdrawal of $49.95 was taken out of my checking account without my permission. I obtained the phone number for consumerbill.com (herein after known as CB) from the cancelled electronic check. When I called CB I was placed on holding and every several minutes I was told I have moved up the the call (s) waiting list.

When I got to be caller two, I was then told the agents were busy and I was disconnected. I finally got thru to CB and asked why was $49 taken out of my account. I was told I signed up for CB membership online. I told them to cancel my membership and I demaned a refund. I was told the membership was cacelled and I will get a refund check in the mail in two weeks.

On September 29 I was hit with another withdrawal of $39.95. I called CB and the same exact thing happended the second time except this time I spoke with a female. And again "the check is in the mail."

As of today I have not received any refunds and I cannot get thru to CB either thu email or telephone.

As a result of these charges being so close together and the fact I did not authorize them I was slapped with several NSF fees of $37.50 and $8 a day negative balance fee. I went to US Bank and explained the situation and was told they cannot credit my account with NSF and/or negative balance fees until they invest this issue and determine the NSF and negative balance were not my fault.

As of today I am waiting for the bank to credit my account.
