Sold me a car that had been previously totaled

I went to cherokee county automotive to purchase a vehicle. He had a 2006 Ford Focus on the lot with very low mileage so I asked had the car been in any accidents, he said no that he had a clean title. I pulled a carfax report which showed nothing so I went ahead and purchased the car with an 1100 down payment.

After buying the car and driving it I began noticing a lot things that were wrong with the car so I took it to my mechanic to have it checked out. He told me the car had been in a pretty bad accident and very poorly put back together. The tire rod was bent, the axle was leaking and needed to be replaced, the right door was not sealed so when I got on the highway you could hear the air coming through the door and window.

I called Mike and told him what my mechanic said and he offered to fix everything that was wrong with the car. I got into a car accident before I could get back to the car lot and the car was totaled.in filing the insurance claim they discovered that this car had been a previous loss and paid off by another insurance agency therefore i'm having all kinds of issues with getting the claim paid because they are having problems getting a clean title.in the meantime I have had to pay out of pocket for a rental car for 3 weeks because he can't produce a title and all these issues with this car is holding up my insurance claim. I too am a single mother of 2 small kids and I feel as though he put our lives in jeopardy by putting me in a vehicle that had already been totaled out.
