Fake interview & hiring process!

Miscellaneous

These people are liars and fakes and something worse. I was contacted via email to come in for an interview for the HR Administrative Assistant position. When I showed up, after filling out a questionnaire and having them take a polaroid of me (?) I was herded into a room with a group of other interviewees (some there for a supposed CFO position) where we all took an aptitude test. After the test, we were sent home. I was called that day to come back in for a 2nd interview the next day. When I did I was led to a different suite where I met with a man, a very nervous, flaky man, who asked me for another copy of my resume and then called someone to come take me to another room for other tests. That was it. After that I met with the "president" of the company who could not tell me exactly what they did there. He then brought me to the "controller" of the company who also couldn't tell me exactly what the company did. Then I met with both of them and they said they'd be in touch. I had to come back for a 3rd interview but when I got there the man I was supposed to meet with had an emergency conference call and couldn't meet with me. They told me this after I waited for almost an hour. I was called by Johanna the next day and offered the job for $35k. When I called back to accept the position, I had to leave a voice mail and have not spoken to anyone since! I've called Johanna every day for a week and I just get her voicemail. I even emailed the "recruiter" who first contacted me and explained the situation. I received a reply that actually asked me to come in for an interview because they were interested in meeting me!

I cannot figure out what the purpose is for this bogus company's practices. I was in at least 3 different suites of theirs. I saw many people working there but this operation is doing something very shady.

I recall now, when I was in that 1st room to take that 1st test that it was a call center and taped on each cubicle was a script. Something about "Hi, we've received your application for employment and we'd like to schedule an interview...". That should have tipped me off. But why would they do this? What could they gain from this? They have my picture and now quite a bit of personal info. Could it be some kind of identity theft scam? I'm so very tempted to go down there and demand an explanation.in fact, I should.

Be wary of this "company". They are shifty and up to something very bad.
