BMF Global
Employment Scam - Not marketing, pure solicitation and lies

Miscellaneous

I made the mistake of actually accepting the job with BMF Global, but decided to call it off after the first day after I finally reassessed all the red flags that had been popping up in my mind. Yes, I went through the same thing as everyone else... A quick first interview, walked around and watched the job for the second interview, and then finally a third interview in which the manager (Tonja or whatever her name was) offered me the job.

First of all, this was a 100% commission job, no benefits, and you're working as an Independent Distributor. Which is odd, considering all the product is given to you and you're required to be there at 7:30am to start, then you're not done until 6:30pm. Generally, I would consider that if it's required that you're to be somewhere as an employee, you should be paid hourly for it. As an Independent Distributor, technically this should not be required.

You pay for all your own gas, they can pay you daily or weekly by check... But you have to do all of your taxes at the end of the year, they take nothing out.

Now, I walked around for 11 hours for my first day and made a few sales... But as a trainee, I made only $50. I watched my trainer make blatant lies to the customers, ignore posted "no solicitation" signs (to which she told me that they go everywhere but government buildings, no matter if they post a no soliciting sign or not)... She told one customer that these makeup brushes were worth $100 dollars, and were comparable to MAC, which is totally bogus (sorry, selling them for $15? I think not.)

Anyway, the manager said that they have about 90 offices across the United States... And that she opened the one in Portland, and was about to open another one in Arizona (which supposedly half the office was going with her). It was my understanding that the Portland office was not the first one, and obviously, by the lack of decor and cheap office look that it was not the headquarters...

With that in mind, why is it that the only office address made available on the BMF Global website is the Portland office?

From what I've seen, M.A.X.I. S Consulting, BMF Global, Lander Group, etc... These are all the same company with the same bogus career postings. I really hope that no one else makes the mistake that I did, because I wound up having to give them my SSN - guess I should keep a look out for any kind of scandalous activity on my credit.

Beware of these companies!
