Is incompetent and scammers

Northland Moving located in Chicago (Logan Square) will never be a referral of mine. They low balled the estimate to get the business and deliver below par service and care to my belongings. They were very gray about how much it would actually be on the day of the move and I overheard one of the workers say to his manager that he couldn't work slow. Meaning the slower they move the more money it brings for them. This is unacceptable and to top it all, they charged a few hundred dollars for an unathorized amount. They had my credit card information to begin with in order to reserve the move date and to be used towards the balance on moving day. Moving day came and policy was to pay in cash before they unloaded my furniture off the truck into the new house.

Well at that point he said, you may owe more depending how fast they move. I ended up paying more money while the manager and one of his buddies came over to smoke and sit out in the sun while the movers did their job for an hour! So my financial obligation to them was settled once they left and a month later I noticed a charge for an unknown reason. I have called and have been promised a call back. I called today and both contact numbers are disconnected! Go figure!!
