Almost Ripped Off

Beware,

I was almost ripped off in my desperation to acquire a bill consolidation loan. After receiving a telephone call from my Loan Agent, Paul Roberts, I was intructed to send at the first four payments ($800) along with the required documentation, i.E., bank statement, paystubs, copy of drivers license, passport, etc. The documents requiring my signature were faxed to me with instructions. I was told that the funds would be deposited into my account (never provided info) within 24 hours of my payment. My first payment on the loan would be due in February, but I could pay it next month.

Following the receipt of the documentation, I decided to do some research, contacting the Better Business Bureau, checking the Internet, checking business directories, Hoovers, called the number for the customer service line, checking for information about Mr. Roberts and Mr. Stephen Smith (President of the company). When I called back to speak with a Customer Service Representative, I noticed that the answer service was the voice of the person that I spoke with during my consultation with my loan agent.

After about 1 hour of research, I remembered what my mother always said, if something appears to be good to be true, then it really isn't the best offer.

I found your website this evening, which confirmed my suspicion that this was just another scam. Of course I will filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and forwarding a copy of the documentation to them as well.

Hopefully this story will warn someone else about this company or similar companies.
