Deirdre Clegg - Goldstein And Clegg flat out lied to me to get my money

I originally contacted her law firm after quitting my job and googling on unemployment rights to see if I had any rights because I thought I was treated unfairly at my last job, and wanted to see if I had any rights or not. Deirdre called me in for an office consult for $100 which I agreed to. After hearing my story she got all excited and told me I had a very strong case against my ex-employer and she should hire her for a flat fee of $1500. She informed me that she would send them out a demand letter and she never lost a case, not has she ever had the need to go to court. I bought into this, especially after she told me about one her cases where the ex-employee was basically a problem and she even got him money! She also failed to inform me that sending out a demand letter typically involves a long process where several letters could be exchanged, and chances are they will not agree to her extremely vulgar demands which I was shocked by the way!

It looked like easy money to me and she basically baited me and planned to ride me out for as long as she could until all my money was gone! The company lawyer did respond back to her demand the first response was to just let her know that they received it and will reply within a couple of weeks. Well, not only did she never update me about this response, but she also failed to update me about the letter that was later sent to her office.instead she simply mailed it to my home with no response because while I was waiting on a response from her or her firm I inquired about any response for which she replied back she hasn't heard anything and we'll need to meet again to take the case to a new contract. She was asking me for more money, for which I said I couldn't afford this and that's when she decided she would no longer bother with me and drop me like a "hot potato". I then pleaded with her to see if she could attend a court hearing for me and she said her fee was $500, but when I informed her of the date she said she couldn't go and was too busy. Even her whole firm was too busy and she referred to me another phony crooked lawyer. The only thing I got from her firm was one demand letter sent out and one request letter for my personnel file. She charged me $1,500, lied to me about the facts, kept important information from me, and handed me over to another crooked lawyer friend of hers.

I can only say, be very weary of her and her law firm. They have been placing a lot of Craigslist ads for people who just lost their jobs and it appears they are taking advantage of other people's unfortunate situations.
