Threatening Letter in re Demand For Payment For Cancelled Magazine Subscription

On January 10, I received a letter from North Shore Agency demanding payment in the amount of $29.97 for a Men's Health magazine subscription which I let expire after my last issue of November. The letter was signed by E.J. Sulllivan, Collections Manager. I attempted to contact North Shore Agency via telephone to speak with them. However, every number I could locate for NSA would disconnect after a recording answered identifying the company and a list of options.

However, I was able to finally locate a telephone number for their parent company NCO Group. Said number is: 800-550-9619. They did answer at that number and finally they agreed to give me the correct telephone number for NSA. It is (516) 391-1008. You will receive a live response when calling this number. Demand to speak with the person that signed the letter. However, in my case I was told E.J. Sullivan was not available.inform them you will not pay such bogus charge and you are reporting them to New York State Attorney General Office and the Better Business Bureau. Also, you should be aware that a law firm in Tampa, Florida is prosecuting a case against NSA. Their website is: http://www.jameshoyer.com/. Send an e-mail to that law firm.

If you do not owe money, do not accede to any demand from NSA. Call the number listed above to NSA. The lady who answered the telephone, as nasty as she was, appeared extremely shocked that I was able to secure that telephone number. Do not give up in making nsa known you will not pay the bill and that their actions are unlawful.
