Why? And how is it that they get away with it? Tell me please!

I just checked my mail today and guess what? I received a very realisitic letter in full form of letterhead and like manner of a cheque to be released to me when i pay the AUD$20. Then i kept reading, i didnt want to jump up and down cos i have had almost a hundred of scam letters to my email address. Then i looked again and told my husband to look and he told me to check this out. Well, what do you know, check on the internet and there are others members of the public who were almost lured into this incredible scam. I say incredible cos i almost believed it. But, check this out they dont have an official website, which almost all companies all over the world nearly have, and they dont have any contact details on the form and letter. To those who are doing this, why dont you find something honest to do than rip the pockets of innocent people, or how would you like it if i sent you a scam? Huh! I feel sorry for them cos what comes around, goes around...
