I bought a web store from Save Avenue for $1400 They said if I bought $4100 worth of advertising from them they would refund the $1400 after 1 year if I was not satisfied. When I called after 1 year with 0 sales, they said they would give me some free advertising and insisted I would still be eligible for the refund if not satisfied. When I called back, they said I was not eligible for the refund because I got the free advertising. The person that gave me the free advertising is supposedly on maternaty leave. They have nothing on paper, tape or email stating I would not be eligible for the refund. Obviously, I would not have taken the free advertising and give up the $1400 when $4100 in advertising didn't work in 1 year.

Are there any laws against selling advertising that I don't believe they can prove they supplied, or a contract that states I will get a refund they refuse to deliver?

How do we put companies like this out of buisness?
