BRENDA COLE False advertizing of product, Based on Co. Literature, Refused warranty, Refused to offer parts to fix unit

Have a 13,500 Btu. Ac. Went to Duropower.com and found that they stated I would need 3500 watts for a 13,500 Btu. Ac. Purchased generator DP3500ELP. Started smoothly. After 1.5 hrs. Unit shut down. Restarted, restarted and shut down. Head had failed. Called Brenda Cole who stated she would replace part, but needed Ac info. Responded. Stated My Ac.

Was to large for generator. She said I would need to purchase a unit with 4500 watts or higher to operate Ac. Then when I asked about parts. Brenda stated that she would have to special order generator head from supplier and let me know. That was 7-21-08. Have called with no response as of 8-27-08.

My ac info states 20 amp. Breaker. 20amps x 120 volts = 2400 watts.

The unit I puchased states. 3500watts surge, 2500watts ac output. The math shows that the unit was rated to operate a 13,500 btu ac.in the owners manual is stated. 2500 watts devided by 120 volt = 20.83 amps. Brenda and duropower are trying to ripe off america with cheap chinese merchandise and I Fell for it just like 63 other people who have filed complaints with the BBB of
California. Good luck to all who get scammed by promises of warrenty or parts replacements. Just have to wait for the next boat from China.
