Sold defective unit

I was sold a Duropower 6500 Generator to find out it was junk. After only three hours of use the valve spring broke in half. Brenda Cole service Manager wants me to pay shipping back to Calf. From marathon, Fl. To Calf. To the tune of $400. I feel it is a manufactures defect and either they or Duropower sholud pay shipping. Brenda keeps leaning on their contract for the customer to pay shipping. My complaint is this is not a replacement part to send back. It is the entire unit. I feel I shouldn't lose $400 on this transaction for the cost of the freight. Since they don't have any service in nthe USA
