Is doing all that it can to keep your deposits or dilute them

I was a member of SRP for two years in good standing. Over the course of almost two years, I requested my deposit be returned. They said No, because I had a late payment reminder once mailed. That was true, but false. The guilt was that they had admittedly failed to properly record the payment, and the bills prove that.

They will take your deposit and credit it when and if they feel like it. They will force you to have it credited to your account.

I was on the MPP plan, Managed Payment, which if your in Arizona and make under or equal to 1600/month, is absolutely necessary.

On August 1, I called in because I had trouble paying my MPP of 106.00 per month. They said it was because I had a credit. I knew I had a credit of a couple of hundred dollars. I didn't know immediately part of the credit was due to the deposit being returned, and when I called no one mentioned that to me. They just said that any credit's I accummulate will override the MPP plan, (so why do they call it MPP?).

Then I found out on another call, maybe August 3, that it was my deposit!
They told me that all deposits are credited to the bill automatically and there was nothing I could do to change that.

I decided to challenge that a week or so later, (still in August) and they said that they had already applied part of the credit to my account, (even though my account still had a credit balance) and there was nothing I could do, SINCE I DIDN'T INSTRUCT THEM TO MAKE OUT A CHECK BEFORE THEY APPLIED MY DEPOSIT!!!

No one told me that was necessary, and the last time I called they told me I wasn't going to get my deposit back, so why would I request it?

Point is: tell srp ahead of time that when you get your deposit back you want it in a check, if you don't want them to deposit it to your account. Do this now, because they will probably change the rules again very soon, if you don't.
