They are a ripoff and you can't cancel the account, I don't know how this got started

I am not sure how this got started, maybe from getting my information from the internet or from my roomate accidentally signing up for it but I was charged $79 on my credit card and then received information in the mail about the magazines I supposedly ordered. When I called them, they immediately got defensive and rude and said, how do you think we got your information, you obviously gave it to us and you can't cancel. She said I still have a balance of $800 plus change and it would immediately go to collections.

I told her that I don't know how this happened and I want it cancelled or I will go to my bank and she said that I have to file a police report and send a copy on police letterhead and then she will talk to her supervisor but not until then. Her name was Patricia and she was extremely rude from the beginning.
