Where the heck is my refund verizon? I hope cablevision takes you down!

I have had it with Verizon! I will never, ever purchase another item from that company. My son purchased a prepay Verizon phone on May 27. Got the phone home and discovered it was malfunctioning. The He took it back to the store in Nanuet where he had bought it and they gladly took the phone back. My son purchased the phone on his Visa Debit card, but lost his wallet the night before he was to return the phone. He explained that all to the Verizon people and they said "no problem" and told him it that he'd receive a refund check in 4 weeks. That was June 6.

Today's date is August 14. I have called and called and called. I had been speaking with this lady in the NC office. I was so happy to speak with someone who was able to help me, or what seemed like she was able to help me, turned out to be another dead-end. I have everything documented, and so far I've spoken to about 10 people. These people say they're supervisors, but in my company supervisors followup with unhappy customers. Verizon... No wonder your company loses tons of customers to Cablevision. Their customer service is 1000x's better than yours!!!

At this time, I've placed a call into the media, and hopefully they can help me. The Verizon people can't even give me a phone number so I can check on my sons refund check. One lady told me it was ok'd on 6/13/08, one rep told me it was processed on 7/13/08, one rep told me it was sent out on 6/13/08. One rep told me that I'd have to wait for 8 weeks. Today a rep told me (one of the supers from the store) that usually it takes 2 weeks to get a check and Verizon tells it's customers 4 weeks to cover themselves. I need help!!! I can't take this anymore.

Please, someone out there, I need a phone # to their corporate office, their VP the FCC, the PSC Commission, someone... I bet they find my sons check when I arrive @ their Nanuet location with the media!!
