I had a 6 month contract with Amigo Energy for. 107 a kWh. I did not know the contract had expired until I recieved a bill for. 1969 a kWh. They sent a letter with it trying to get my to sign a three year contract for. 13. I decided to switch companies. My final bill from Amigo Energy came in at. 2419. Do the math on that rate increase!!! I called and they told me it was the going rate and if I didnt pay it, it would go on my credit. Of course I am forced to pay it. So, beware of there slamming! They hook you on a low rate, hit you hard when the contract expires and then punish you for leaving them!
