Worst pool contractors in florida! -stay away, they will rip you off!

Capital Pools & Spas took 9 months to "almost" finish my pool after having to make threatening phone calls for them to work on it. I had a contract for a pool and hot tub, and when they said it was complete 9 months after the fact, I called and asked how to turn on the hot tub. They informed me that the "heater" for the hot tub was not included in the contract. I argued my case with Greg Luce, the owner, who told me to look at my contract and see if I saw "heater" anywhere. I could not beleive it. I had actually discussed this with his "pool designer" while designing the pool and she said "of course a heater is included with a hot tub", but Greg Luce said she did not know what she was talking about and he would take that up with her!

I contacted 3 other pool companies and the City of Clearwater and they said they have never heard of a pool company doing that to a consumer and that a hot tub or jacuzzi always came with a heater. Greg Luce from Capital Pools told me he would let me purchase a "spa heater" at his cost and they would hook it up, just to be nice! So another $1,600 later - I recieved a spa heater sitting on a slab of concrete in my back yard that they did not hook up to the electrical. The gas company cannot hook up the heater without the electrical hooked up. I have made several phone calls and left voice mails regarding the issue to Capital Pools again and they will not answer the phone or return my phone calls. It has always been an issue with them to get any type of customer service since the day I give them a big check.

Beyond that, they never capped off any of my existing underground sprinklers. They all leaked and when I asked them to fix it, they said they would send someone out and they never did. I finally got someone out there about 2 months later and they still never fixed it properly. I had to pay another company over $600 to fix the sprinkler system Capital Pools destroyed.
They left re-bar, pipes, and all sorts of "junk" in my backyard that I had to remove myself.
This company is a nightmare to deal with, they do not abide by their contracts, and they will take you for everything you have. Avoid them at all cost.
