Green Dot has a host company that accepts calls for them and provides customer assistance called Ready Debit. They lock you out of your online account so as to you not being able to log in to view the activity going on with your account. I receive govornment benefits which are direct deposited each month to this account so i try to monitor it regularly for one slip up can cost me dearly. When you call their toll free number for assistance due to not being able to log into your account they charge your account a fee of $2.00 to speak to a represenative to help you with what should be free of charge since it is something created wtihin their own system, however you get charged this fee regardless to what you are callng for. I had no choice to pay the associated fee to speak with someone and the person i spoke with gave me a bogus phone number o call for a so called customer account supervisor and the toll free number was 866-465-1645. After calling the number i find out it has been disconnected. So where does that leave me other than to call back into ready debit and get charged another $2.00 fee just to tell them that the number they provided me with is no good. This company is such a rip off and scam that its unbelieveable and i sincerely hope that someone will investigate them and do something about it like a class action suite to maybe get back the money everyone has been ripped off.
