Charged more than quoted, poor customer service, not military friendly

I am in the military and had to move due to orders. I rented my house out to another military family. The A/C was not working correctly. The tenant called A-1 due to their advertisment of a military discount.

The technician went out and opened the unit. He told my tenant it would be 1000. She told him he would have to speak to me for that kind of money. He called on my cell and told me that compressor needed to be cleaned by acid and refilled with freon. I felt like 1000 was extremely high but I felt bad for the tenants and their small children in the heat. I told him to repair it.

I got the bill and it was 1197.92. I called and spoke to Samantha the office manager on Friday 27 June 08. She said she would ask Herman the technician and call me back on Monday. Monday came and went with no phone call. I called her before 5 and she was out of the office. I called every day and finally spoke to her on Tuesday the 2nd July. She transferred me to Herman's cell.

Herman said he quoted me 1197.92. I told him sir you told me 1000. He became rude and said you called my cell phone and hung up on me. I then called Samantha back. She said she couldn't help me. I told her I agreed to 1000 and would pay it but I did not agree to 1197.92. She said she couldn't help me. I told her that I just wanted what was fair. She still said she couldn't do anything for me. I stated that I would spread the word to other military folks and she said she didn't care about idle threats. I told her I wasnt' threatning her but it was the truth.

I also found several other people with in 15 minutes in the squadron that have also had problems with A-1.

If you don't want to be cheated go somewhere else.
