False advertisement

I went into the store to shop when I noticed in there flyer they had 24 oz del monte ketchup on sale for $. 69 with a club card. I went to the register and they had told me that it wasnt that one. I said why it says 24 oz on the bottle they then asked if i had my membership card... in which I did. At this time the manager comes over and asks where did i get the kethcup from i told him the shelf... He then found them and took all of them off the shelf and went to the bvasement with them... After all this they told me that they were not going to honor the sale because it was the wrong one.

What can i do to keep from getting ripped off in the future like this. With times as tough as they are we are all looking for those little sales.
