I worked for Suray for over 5 years. Last year, without notice, they changed my 40 hr a week status, from Full time to part time. How I found out, I didnt receive my benefits package and I called corp to see why. I was told my status was changed to part time, even though I average 40 hrs a week. So I was no longer elegible to get benefits like a full time employee. I was never ever paid any holiday pay.

Then recently all the demonstrators who work under me, have been calling and not getting paid their demonstration pay. They have sometimes had to wait almost a month to get paid, and then it is only if I emailed billing to ask why they were not paid. Most of the emails I sent, were not answered. They also were calling saying Suray only pays them mileage sometimes, not always, and then I again, would have to email corp and in about two weeks, they then would get that mileage pay they were due. I hired many demonstrators for the company over the years. They would pay them almost every time a rate of 8 dollars per hour, instead of what they were hired at 9,10 or 11 per hour. Then once again I would have to chase down the difference that they were owed and get them paid for the difference. If they didnt notice or call me, they would never get their correct pay. Sometimes Suray would hold up their cards, which would pay for their products in the stores, causing them to have to pay out of pocket, this happened 3 weekends in a row recently on expensive demonstrations such as over 40 dollars worth of products. Causing that demonstrator to have to pay out of their pocket for the products used, and wouldnt you know it was on the weekend, when NO ONE is in and NO one from corp would call them back when they called and couldnt pay for their products, leaving them jammed in a very bad situation if they didnt have the money to pay for it upfront. When they mailed in the report and expected pay for the out of pocket expenses. It wasnt paid and again I had to chase the billing department to get them paid for their out of pocket expenses. This would take like two more weeks for them to issue the out of pocket money back, after they were paid for the event. So Suray, was able to hold onto that money they were supposed to have for the demonstrator to pay for products, TO FIVE WEEKS, before they ever had to use that money, to reimburse them. THis should never happen to a demonstrator, standing inline to pay for their products only to find the card has been blocked and they have to use their own money.

Suray is a very underhanded company if you ask me. They jam the cards on purpose when they are low on funds. They hold checks from people, they pay incorrectly, they dont pay what is promised.

They then took all the employees who worked for them, without notice and made any demo work or roadshow pay, now be paid out as Indepandant Contractor pay, no taxes came out, no warning, nothing, just chaned it. Never ever answered as to why, never notifed the employees they wouldnt be getting taxes out of their demo work, they just did it. Wouldnt explain to anyone, just changed it. So now an employee who had taxes taken out, now if they did demos, wouldnt have taxes out.
This is really how they operate. They are not honest, they rip off everyone they possibly can, and hope they arent discovered.
