I had previously had dish network service. I had cancelled it for awhile due to a loss of a job. I had called to reinstate service, and asked what I would need to pay to make this possible. Theystated I had to pay the past due amount, plus 2 future months of service, and a $25.00 restart fee. I asked what this total was completely. The woman took awhile, and then told me that the total would be $345.54. I again asked if this was the complete total for the past due, 2 future months, and the restart fee, she stated yes. I agreed to pay this amount with a check via the phone.

She then stated I would have the top 200 channel program with local channels as well. She took me through the programming of the TV. I thanked her and hung up. I went back to my TV, and realized I was missing local channels. I called back into the company and spoke with a different woman, I again asked to confirm that what I had paid was the full amount, she stated yes. I told her I was missing my local channels, and she said no problem and set them up. Everything was fine until the following night, I realized again that some channels were missing.

I again called the company they now stated that I will owe them an additional $192.18 that the previous total was not correct. I proceeded to tell them that I had confirmed the total with two different people. They said they ahd no record of who I spoke with. But they did have record of the previous payment. I asked to speak with a manager. When I spoke to the manager she stated she would put my channels back on, and they would send payments. I again had my channels back.

The next night the same thing happened again. I again called the company. They stated I would need to pay that amount and there was nothing else they could do. I asked to speak to a manager, and got disconnected. I called back, and they were rude, and stated they could not help me, and that they needed this payment.

I have at this point had enough. I contacted the BBB and the attorney general and reported the company. I received a call from the ERT part of the company yesterday. I was not home when they called, so I tried to contact them for two days, and kept receiving a voicemail where I left several messages.

I finally called and got an actual person, where the woman proceeded to tell me that she could not help me and that I needed to pay this amount. She also stated that they have no record of me speaking to this person the first time I called. But they do have a record of my payment. Now to me you think if an employee was taking a payment, they would have record of this employee with this transaction. I believ they completely rip people off, and believe something should be done about this company.
