Advanced Access Did not Perform, Abusive Customer Service, Ripoff Sales Tactics

In Dec of I entered into a web hosting agreement with Advanced Access with a 30 day gaurantee. The version was their new 4.0 Classic Web Site " with hundreds of Styles, Colors, and Graphics Choices Available." Within the 30 day period, I contacted customer service requesting cancellation as the "back office" used to create the website was full of bugs and I discovered the majority of their template styles and graphics were not functional. According to their customer service rep, they would be fixed within the next month and I was assured I would have a usable product.in addition, the "featured home" application was horrible! I was assured the fix was in progress and that I should see the result within the month.
The next month rolled by and the problems were still there and I still did not have a website I wanted to publish. I never "activated" my website due to this fact.

I called again requesting cancellation. This time, the customer service rep said I was outside of the 30 day cancellation and could not get my set up fee back. I asked to have my account cancelled regardless. I was told I could not cancel and the only alternative was to put my account on hold, therefore continuing to not publish my website.in addition, the service representative was very abusive to me verbally and implied I was trying to cancel due to the downturn in Real Estate and save money. He had me to tears and I insisted I get my money back. Again, he said the only recourse was to put the account on hold.

In the meantime, I went with another company in order to get a good website working for my business. Time is very precious in my industry.

A few months went by and I called again requesting a refund. This time, the customer service rep informed me I was obliged to pay for 12 months of hosting regardless of my experience. He was horrible and told me I was bound to the agreement. I indicated that Advanced Access had not performed and as of the current date, the 4.0 version was still unacceptable.in good faith I tried to cancel within the 30 day period but believed their assurances that the site would be acceptable and working well. I indicated they were not to activate the site.
Last month, advanced access activated the site and is now charging my credit card. I am currently doing research in order to file in small claims court and have discovered many other unfortunate users have had the same experience. I have also discovered that many confirm the poor implementation of the 4.0 version confirming my belief that Advanced Access did not perform according to their contract. I feel like I am being extorted and forced to have a hosted website. Not only am I not getting my initial set up charge refunded, but now I am on the hook for a website I don't want, tried to cancel and have had to endure abusive customer service and ripoff sales tactics. Caveat Emptor! I want my money back!
