Prize Award Scam

Ok so I received a letter in the mail for a prize reward of $30,000 and a 4 day vacation cruise to the Caribbean island of Bahamas.

In the letter there was a check for $2,390.00 for a "processing fee".

After researching this company, I found no scam reports!

So I called this person (Kay Campbell) and a woman answered who was not very professional and told me to go over the enclosed check with a lawyer and give her a call back.

I looked up the address and phone number and eventually got to the Highlands Insurance Group Inc. I called that phone number and spoke with a supervisor. He informed me that someone unknown to them got a hold of one of their checks and has been making copies. People all over for the last 3 weeks have been receiving these forged checks and fraud letters.

Do not cash the checks! According to the supervisor, they WILL bounce!

I called Kay Campbell back to tell her what I found out, and she hung up on me. What a surprise.
