America Those who won't hire felons

Since losing our daughter to a still birth last year and due to my fiance's depression the Doctor told me that I must stay with her until she is comfortable by herself. I lost my job at National Collection Organization because it was too much time to be off but I was told I would be hired at A later time when I could return. I was denied my position back. I have applied at British Petroleum Super Pantry, Lube Pro's, Phillips 66, Kelly Williams Mobile and many more. The ones I have named so far will not hire me because over 5 years ago I got into a fight with a friend and got charged with battery. Some of them say it is because 911 that many companies are not taking a chance with felons! Lets think about this for a second... Because terrorist were able to come into this country and take flying lessons and the F.B. I was told about. Then high jack planes and crash them into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. Because of these series of unfortunate events that I myself cried over, is it a good idea to not hire felons?

If it is, the same people that promote this idea should be able to prevent the next time a postal worker comes in to work with an automatic weapon. Does the Post Office hire felons? Does the Government hire felons? Did the terrorist have a criminal record. I THINK NOT! If you believe that once a criminal always a criminal you might be right if no one is giving that "criminal" a chance you just might be right! Years ago I couldn't find a job. I dug down deep and came up with an invention that someone else was willing to invest 6,000 dollars just for 10 percent of it. Everyone I have told about it is impressed by it. But inventhelp can't find one company that is interested! This corporation stole my patent the Better Business Bureau said that they didn't have a "record" so now I find myself broke with no money no patent and no one will hire me because I have a "record". We commit so many crimes against each other it is sick! When you say " We don't hire felons " you are saying you don't deserve a job here so go sell drugs, rob a bank and get with the mafia because you can't support your family legally... And by the way don't rob me! Today companies hire other companies to not hire felons! So now their are companies that commit terrorist acts against society. It is in our nature to survive... Period. I'm not saying that all drug dealers and criminals filled out thousands of applications before doing what they thought was needed to survive but it is a possibility. How many months would need to go by before you resorted to other means of income. If you had to look at your wife and kids who are looking at you for food, what would you do in this situation? I have the support of many and things are looking up... A little. But what about the ones who don't know as many people as I do? There will always be crime in this country. The most horrific crimes are not done by x-convicts but by CEO's, Government Officials and rich people. Some people don't deserve a second chance, I'm not one of them. I didn't cause gas prices to go up. I didn't crash a plane into the world trade center. I don't go to work looking for ways to get over on others. Do onto to others as you would have them do unto you. If a man or woman with a record wants a job... Think about it. If you don't hire a felon... You just might be one yourself brcause it takes one to know one.
