Halliburton
Steals a minimum of 90c on the dolla

Miscellaneous

This is from Newsweek articles. Halliburton is a major contractor in Iraq. Because they are getting no-bid contracts, they can and do skim 90c off the dollar, for each dollar they are getting. Their subcontractors get 10c, for whatever work is done. This is straight out of Newsweek. Now, oddly enough, Newsweek, and Federal Executive, and the Washington Post, all report that there is more fraud in Iraq spending than any auditor could hope to find. But that, of course, is on the 10c portion, since this doesn't count the 90c. During the 1700's, and 1800's, military contractors would pay criminals to shoot up some Indians.indians would retaliate, and there would be cries for troops to protect settlers. Troops would be sent, and of course need to be equipped, and fed, which means military contractors would be paid well. And if you study just Civil War records, you see that they were paid much more than comparable civilian costs. I guess people just don't want to learn the lessons of history. Ben Franklin said the school of experience charges a high tuition, but fools will learn nowhere else. Our tuition so far is $500 billion. How much more do we have to pay? And by way, I am registered as a Republican, and I voted for Reagan both times.
