Sierra consulting firm - not what they say they are!

Warning: if you are at all considering hiring this business because your business is in distress i highly recommend taking the time to read about my brief experience with this consulting firm

Not a good one!

I am a small business owner in the Phoenix metropolitan area that hired Will Neitzke of Sierra Consulting to oversee the financial side of my business for four months while I was away.

Unfortunately, I returned to find out that he had spent the bare minimal amount of time attending to responsibilities that he was hired for. For over four months invoices were assembled into a box in no particular order. Vital accounts with banks, vendors, & merchants were ignored. Dozens of phone calls went ignored and major vendor accounts I've had a relationship with over five years got closed. One banking institution even closed an account sending multiple inquiries against my credit report.

Due to a failed expansion my business was under extreme financial distress however it is under even more due to the negligence of Sierra Consulting LLC. And Will Neitzke. To familiarize you briefly with Will. He is an extremely likable person that will tell you exactly what you will need to hear to feel at ease. He speaks of extensive business experience non of which after researching his past have I've been successful at verifying. I've come to find that many consultants have become "consultants" because they've been unsuccessful at creating or operating their own business. Certainly, I don't believe this to be the case with all consultants, however Sierra Consulting hold a tremendous facade of fancy downtown offices and resumes fit for a king.

Upon attempting to inform Will Neitzke's employers Edward Burr and Tim Gay of Sierra Consulting of my situation they did not return phone calls. After repeated attempts to speak with them I finally pleaded my case. As a gesture of good faith Ted Burr sent a representative of their firm to inspect the damage that Will had done. I think this was done in part to temporarily appease me and keep me quiet.

Unfortunately, after that they've decided to "wash their hands" of the incident and claim that they weren't responsible for any of the finances. After talking in circles with them they've refused to accept any and all responsibility for Will's actions. Ironically, he no longer is an employee of their firm. I have since come to find our they've let him go b/c there were other accounts that were mistreated and dissatisfied.

Here's a firm that was hired exactly for that purpose and states on the header of their website "Sierra Consulting Group, LLC is a leading consulting firm comprised of experienced CPA's and other finance professionals."

I plan on reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission and my local congressman. After paying their firm over $15K in fees I feel like I've been RIPPED OFF!
