Mortgage Denied After Car Lease Transfer Advice From Banker

I was trying to buy a house, for the first time, so I called Sallie Mae Home Loans Powered by Quicken Loans, and applied for a mortgage loan, so they checked my credit and my employment history, and mortgage banker called me and told me that my credit is good, but there is a lot of expenses and debt while he was looking through my credit report, so he told me that he can fix it for me, by trying to get rid of or transfer the 2007 lease car that was under my name, I said ok I can do that, but and I asked more than once is it for sure thats all they want me to do for me to get approved? He said yes thats all they need, and I told him when I transfer the lease its going to cost me alot of money, so please make sure thats all I need to do for me to get approved, he said ok wait a moment, then he put me in hold then came back and said yes they said thats all you need to do, I'm like ok,

So I transferred the car lease under someone's name and that Cost me $500 and something, then they check my credit again and saw that car lease was removed from my credit, then the mortgage banker called me and said that there's a question they want to ask me, and they said Do i have a car to drive to work? And I'm like yes one my dad's car, he said is it under your name i said no then he said you have to have a car under your name, I'm like no problem I will buy a cheap car, so I did buy a car for $1,000.00 and then i faxed the title to them, and then he said thats great we will get back with you, and of course after a month, they send me a letter saying that I was not approved, because i had a lot of debt and expenses on my credit report.

So I tried to call the mortgage banker to his direct phone to see what happened, but he never answered my phone calls

So as you see here they made me waste more than $1,500, after I told them if its for sure then i will do it but if its not guaranteed please tell me now before i go ahead and do that. They are liars and careless, watch out for them.
