A college aged male "Brian" asked if I could help with his school for a trip Toledo Ohio

Miscellaneous

When I left the grocery store, I was approached by a college aged male " Brian" he said his name was. He said that he needed help to pay for his school trip. He asked me what kind of magazines I like to read. I said cooking. He said that if I picked 4 magazines that it wound be worth 4,000 points toward his trip. I told him that I really don't read alot of magazines. He said that 2 of them could be donated to a local shelter for battered women. My total came to $118.00. I didn't have that much cash so I went to the ATM machine & paid him. He said if when I got home if my husband would be upset that I could call the number on the receipt & cancel my order & i would get my money back. Well I had 2nd thoughts right when I got into my truck & dialed the number on the receipt & an answering machine came on & it will only allow you to leave a voicemail & you cannot cancel your order by phone. I went back into the grocery store & "Brian" was no where to be found. I am now out $118.00 & the worst feeling inside that I have ever experienced. I only thought that I was trying to help someone.
