Furniture FRAUD!

My wife and I purchased furniture in early October during what was called a retirement sale. I asked associate Joanne at the time if they were going out of business and she said that one of the brothers who owned the company was retiring. We ordered a 4 piece living room set. We were informed that all sales were final and that it could take 3-8 weeks.
I gave the company their 8 weeks, however I made my first call at 6 weeks. They informed me that it was still on order. I went back on the 8 week date and still no furniture nor do they know the whereabouts of or delivery date. I asked to see a manager and I was told that Phalen, the store manager was not here, but Don the floor manager was in. This man, though nice did not have a clue of what was going on, he punches a few buttons on computer and makes a copy of my order and puts a "rush" on it.
I say I am going to give the company 2 more weeks and then I am requesting a refund. I make numerous calls into Phalen and to Mark in Gainesville, who I am told by associates is the district manager. Never a call back! They won't because they are involved in this criminal activity!
Today I go in and finally see this Phalen. He refuses giving me a refund, claims my furniture is in Orlando, but doesn't say when it will be here. When I inform him I have contacted AMEX and will be contacting a lawyer he says "go right ahead."
On my way out I meet 2 other people in the same situation one of which informs me he has learned that the company lost their Ashley account and is not receiving any shipments. This is fraud. A sale constitutes a payment for product! I paid, but have no product.
Please people, do not shop here. I knew something was up when the Ashley sign was taken down. These people are crooks and everyone is involved from the sales associates who refuse to give messages to Phalen all the way up to owners.
