Mathew Willson was paid 12.6 K for labor of erecting a 100 sq feet of blocks retaining wall. The wall is not straight and has gaps of 2 to 3" between blocks. He quit on building the steps of blocks as they have been 5% of the level. To do landscapping of 1/3 of an acre he used sixty logs of pine straws to cover ungraded and uncleaned ground. I had to hire other contractor to make the corrections: pulled out the sod, cleared, graded, rolled and put sod back. He overcharged me on everything for example $26 shrub and he purchased for $6 at John Deer Landscapers Supply, $100 for drainage pipe that Home Depot sales for $29.95. He hired SRDI Inc. To do design and monitoring the construction of the retaining wall. We had an agreement that there will be one to maiximum two technicians visits at $190 each. Surprisingly, he allowed, without my awarness, that SRDI charged me for 11 monitoring visits absolutely unnecessary for the size of this project. He employed unskilled workers. He left the side and did not remove the trush and pallets. He did not make any corrections instead he sued me and liened my property. Concluding, this contractor is using shortcuts and hides to fulfill the scope of the contract. When I withhold a part of the payment he treathened me and demanded a check for landscapping at 7 pm when the lot was in darkeness. He also called the police to the side to scare me. Thus we met at the court and still could not reach any reasonable agreement. This contractor should be avoided as unprofessional and very greedy for easy money.
