Fraudulent appropriation of credit card info - recurrent charges small enough to go below our suspicion "radar"

My husband noticed a charge on the American Express bill that had been recurring as a charge to my card on the account for several months and asked me what it was. I had no idea and started to investigate.
I called the contact number for the company that was listed on the credit card bill. Four times I tried and four times I was cut off after being told I was to be transferred to a customer service representative. My next step was to contact American Express.
I was on the line for approximately an hour with a wonderful customer service representative who worked with me to file a fraud report and initiated an investigation by American Express. While on the line with me the representative went to the Usa Consumer Complaints.com website while I went to the complaint website. We both located much information concerning the scam this company is running.
The Amex representative included much of the information she and I found on the websites we visited in her report to the fraud division. I am hopeful somehing will be done to stop this company from what it's doing.
