IQ Derma
Free Trial = $95.70 or so

Miscellaneous

Everytime I got on the internet for months now, I would see the add for iQ Derma offering a "Free Trial". Eventually I gave in to my curiousity and checked it out.

The ad makes you think you're just paying $3.95 for shipping of some free samples. You never see any cost of the items or anything about memberships on the links for the Free Trial.

In fact, when I clicked on the approval for the $3.95 shipping fee, I didn't get a receipt. Even when I recieved the items, there was a lot of literature about the product, but still no reciept.

The first time I realized there was a problem was when I saw a charge for $95.70 on 11/26. I immediately called and got an abusive and condescending rep who acted like I had signed something without reading it, which wasn't true.

But I went back and checked the website, and nothing there says anything about charging you $95.70 if you don't return the stuff in 30 days.in fact, it was only at the customer service rep's prompt that I checked my email.

Here's what they do. After you sign up for the free product only costing $3.95 in shipping, they inform you only through email that your "free" product actually will cost $95.70 if you don't return it in 30 days. Too bad if you don't regularly read your email, like me.

In my case they said my due date for return was 11/30, but they had already charged my account on 11/26. What's up with that?

When I told the rep on the phone that I would be post marking that return package that day, 11/30, he said they would refund my money when they recieved the package and to make sure I put the R.E.M. Number in the box.

When I got home from work, after sending the package off, I received an email stating that they will only process packages with the REM number on the outside, which the rep conveniently neglected to tell me.

So far my bank has so far refused to put my money back into my account because they say that since I authorized the $3.95 charge, they cannot refund my money as long as they company is willing to put the money back into my account within 30 days.

I'm am so angry I am going to everything in my power to try to get Time Warner Cable to refuse to run iQ Derma's ads. I'm going to complain to the Better Business Bureau, and make an internet fraud report and probably have to change banks accounts.

If all of you follow suit, perhaps we can get these people put in jail. These are scam artists, offering one thing and then once they get you bank account number, changing the aggreement and taking more money out than you authorized. They should be shut down and put in prison.
