I.Q. Derma
Free Trial-Not! Internet

Health & Medicine

I.Q. Derma has an advertisement for a "free trial". This is a lie. There is no free trial. If you receive your product to try, and if you don't send it back within a month, oh, it must still have product in it. You cannot send back empty bottles. You also have no choice in receiving more if you do not send it back in a month however they don't tell you that exactly. They tell you that you will be billed. They don't tell you how you will be billed. It's quite slick in the dishonest department. You give your credit or debit card number to them for the shipping charges and they keep that then use it again, you have a surprise bill on your account. My was $95.70.

I had no idea they were going to debit my account, they don't tell you anywhere that they will do that within the month trial period. They just tell you that you won't be billed if you send it back. But it doesn't state on the paperwork that the product must still be in the bottles, you can't have used too much. Anyway, you end up paying for your free trial and they set you up automatically to bill you unless you go through thier rigorous return program, and it is rigorious.

I think it's designed to make it so difficult for you that you get billed again. If you don't follow their instructions to the letter they bill you again, even after you have cancelled it. It has been so frustrating and the customer service person was very smug. I had to keep asking questions about the same things to get full answers. They answer in very short sentences as to not give you much information.
