Fry's offical policy pay $200 to cut in line (after thankgiving sale)

I waited in line at the Fry's store in Renton, WA (I was on vacation visiting family in the area) for the after thanksgiving sale. We finally completed all our shopping and got in a huge line to pay for our items. It was like a 3hr wait. I was approached by a sales rep and told I could be processed in a VIP line and checked out immediately if I paid $200.

I though this was a scam or a sales person trying to make a quick buck. So I asked him. If this was offical policy or just him trying to make quick $ he said no. I then sent my son to the customer service desk, to both verify this and to report it... To my surprise the customer service desk, said it was a VIP service the store was offering and yes it was legit. I refused.

Quite Upset, I contacted King5 TV News (king5.com) to report this, they sent a news crew to the store and did a story on it. Yesterday. (see the website for complete story or google search on it) they confimed many other customers experienced the same thing and interviewed some of the employees. Who said (quote) "oh were no longer doing that anymore"

The store manager claimed it wasn't policy that all employees involved would be fired. But I believe it was... A friend of mine went to Best Buy. The did something similar. They had a door buster Laptop. For like $399.. But if you got the preinstalled software / optimization for like $500, you could line in a shorter seperate line. That went quicker. But you at least got something for your $.
