I was formerly employeed with West Corp. I saw numerous instances of unfair treatment as far as intimidation and humiliation. Then was a victim of it myself recently. I was an operations Supervisor at West and saw a lot of unfair malicious things happen. Management does not follow any rules what so ever. They cuss, threaten, yell, slam doors and act very unprofessional but if any employees were to behave in that manner they would be fired on the spot. They change the rules if you are a good seller, they change the rules if they do not want a certiain person to succeed and proceed up the corporate ladder or also if they DO want a certain person in a particualr role. I have seen them fire people for something and then find out that it was not true. I have seen them fire people and then find out it was a computer problem. I have seen some employees get 3 downgrades whne only one is allowed. I have heard management say.."we need to find something that will stick" when wanting to get someone termed. Managers have had affairs with supervisors and agents and each other... Everyone is terrified there and they hire low income people that will do whatever to keep their jobs and then if they are treated bad or wrongly terminated, they can not afford to defend themselves. They are constantly preaching different things that have to be done a certain way to be EOE AA qualified but then management does not adhere to the things themselves. They do have a woman who works in Employee Relations, but employees have been yelled at for coming to her without an appointment and then she took them to the manager that they were having a problem with in the first place and he yelled at them and said "I am the boss and what I say goes!". Her office is on one of the production floors so that everyone working in there knows who is going into her office and as soon as it gets to the manager, it will get taken out on you one way or another. I was with West for 10 months and had been saying for the last few months that I felt like they were going to fire me and I would not even know why, because of the things I had seen, heard and that had been done to me.in the end that is exactly what happened and has happened to other employees too.
