Phone Scam

I was called on 9/13/07 by Dona Carlton ID #0155 to tell me I had been chosen to receive Federal Grant money. I was thinking great I can use it to send my daughter to college.

Then the red flags started popping up. She told me she checked my income and that I did not make enough to keep up with the cost of living, and that I definately needed help and would get it. (wrong, I can and do keep up) I just thought It would help greatly if I could get a grant for school so I wouldn't go into debt. 2nd she told me it would cost me $359 for the kit. After I filled out the kit I would definately get the grant, as long as it was all filled out properly. (Me pay to get a free grant - wrong-) and number 3 red flag she wanted my bank account number for electronic withdrawl (I wouldn't give anybody that especially someone from barbados over the phone, with out any proof of who they are.

I immedately hung up and looked them up on line, thank God I did not give them any information.
