Drivetime
Ask for an extenion and lost paper work But, its my problem

I filed for an extension in late july. I sent them 632.00. The extension was for 2 payments. 212.00 In July then another 420.00. On August 1. Then the next thing you know a guy came by on Sept. 9th. Told us he was here for the car. We never recieved any notice from Drivetime at all. We thought the extension was fine we signed the paper work.in mid August and thought all was good. The ocala office wont help us told us its our problem even though the Main office in Arizona said they never recieved the paper work. (but thats our fault). Arizona told my husband we could get the car back for 2,500. He spoke with a different person then I did. I called 15 minutes later and spoke with someone else. They told me I could get the car back for 1,500. The minute I told them that my payment schedule they gave me on DRIVETIME letter head, Had us owing a 1000 more then they said we owed to pay off the car. She told me my addittion must be off and I said your company computed that. I was told they would call me back. I put all the paper work they gave us together and I was 1000 ahead by their calculations not mine. I only owed them a payment of 200.00. The best part of the whole thing is the tow truck driver told me that DRIVETIME is famous for this type of thing. He showed me all the paper work. I think he has been around awhile because he knew all the names of people we said we dealt with on the phone. He isnt even from the Ocala office, but out of a different city.
