Specialty merchandise corporation this company is still trying to get $ from me which they will never receive

Hopefully this will help someone out there. It appears many many persons have be ripped off fradulently by SMC, myself included. When I learned of the deception and fraud this company was doing I did the following things.

I called to cancel my membership which was in the 30 day time allowed. Was transferred to the "Cancellation Dept" and held for a very long time. No one ever answered.

The very next thing I did was went to my Bank and took with me copies of information from complaint to show them. Fortunately, I originally gave SMC a debit card number so I was able to cancel this card immediately. The bank will stop any and all automatic withdrawls from this company.

I also contacted our local new/TV station and emailed them the information on this company. Please, please if this information can helpout anyone else let the rest of us know.

Today, I received a statement in the mail from this company, because they are unable to withdraw any money from my account, asking for a payment of $39.50 per my membership agreement. And to let you all know they still show my membership as active. Good Luck.
