New platinum advantage is a complete rip off

While trying to apply for a credit card the compand New Platinum Advantage contacted me and told me that I could get there credit card and use it for everyday use for a low fee of 200 dollars. Well now that I have been trying to contact them it turns out they are a "merchant card" and that you can only buy stuff online from the places and stores they choose. When I chose to sign up for this card they led me to believe it would be like a visa card and could help me with bills and other things but now that they have my money I can not get a hold of them they will not contact me back and no one answers when you call the customer service line.
