Mailing out bogus checks

I received a check in the mail from Meridain that I deposited into my bank account. I was notified about a week and a half later from my bank that the checking account that the check was written on was closed.

I am now having to pay the bank back the amount of the check and I really shouldn't be the one's paying back this money the company should be paying since they were the one's passing bad checks. If you know of any attorney that would assist me with retrieving back the money taken from me I would greatly love to hear from you. Thanks
