Won't solve an actual crime but want all traffic fines they can get

I have been a victim of a hit and run accident that left me with a broken leg and hospital bills in excess of $75,000.00. The CHP did the most cursory of investigations and made next to no effort in resloving the issue. I have left them with numerous tips and clues, but have been given the impression that my situation is not worth their efforts.

The local law enforcement agencies seem to be more interested in writing traffic tickets and harrassing motorists for the most minor of infractions because those efforts are much more profitable for the local municipalities than actual crime investigation and resolution could ever be. We are continually saddled with surly and rude law enforcement personnell who are making every effort in the world to rob us of our dignity and self respect as well as our money.

I think that it is time for every normal everyday person in this country to rise up and question the law enforcement tactics that are in place and ask if they can solve a burglary, robbery, murder or hit and run case. If we were given the statistics, I think that we would find that well over 80% of felony crimes are never solved. I feel that this is mainly because law enforcement has discovered that traffic infractions are much more profitable and far less likely to make the cops actually do some work.
