Passing Bad Checks

To all of you that think that you can make a quick buck, the buck stops here. I was recently cantacted by a fictisious person named Dr. Wayne Campbell and was told that if I cashed his travelers checks I could keep 10% of the money offered and send him the rest.

I did some digging of my own and found the person, the checks and the amount of money are bogus. I have turned the money, the true name of the person which is a John Casako aka John Castillo to the authorities. He sends the money through a fedex envelop with a fake adress. The company that he uses as a front to do this is out of Little Rock, AR, but the package comes from CA, as close as what I can come to Oakland.

I am lucky that I chose to call American Express and find out before I cashed the checks. All I can say is that I hope that I might save one person from this scam and thank god I have not lost anything.
