Credit-damaging, overdraft-causing, verbal agreement violating cheats ripoff

Unlike many of the other reports I have read, I actually agreed to the magazines. Quarterly payments were set up, except they decided to charge me a month early, resulting in more than one hundred dollars in overdraft fees.

Because my account is a joint account, the other party is now experiencing problems such as interest rate increases and denied credit limit increases on cards that have been kept in more than stellar standing. This company is not licensed to practice business in the state of MS, so I contacted the Consumer Affairs Division of the Attorney General's Office in my state.

I was advised to send a letter stating the problems I have experienced, the violation of any agreement made on the company's behalf, my request for a refund of not only the inappropriate charges made to my account but the overdraft fees incurred, and the fact that no words can describe my complete and total dissatisfaction with my dealings with the company.

I will write and send my letter asap, but I will admit that I am really upset now. My credit is already fragile. I will probably consult a lawyer to research the validity of a non-written "contract" in which dissatisfactory services cannot be cancelled, and will be more than enthused to persue the matter in court if need be.
